The Anti-Apartheid Network campaigned for the University of Notre Dame to divest the stock of companies doing business in South Africa. Organizing included raising the issue of divestment with the student government; some members participating in an Ad Hoc committee of trustees, administrators, faculty, and students; collecting 1,200 signatures of students and faculty on a petition for divestment to the Board of Trustees, and rallying at the steps of the Administration building.
