Church Project on United States Investments in Southern Africa

The Church Project on United States Investments in Southern Africa, formed in 1971, was a cooperative venture of boards and agencies of the American Baptist Churches, National Council of Churches, Protestant Episcopal Church in the U.S.A., United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A, United Methodist Church, and the Unitarian-Universalist Association. In 1972 the Church Project filed shareholder resolutions with five corporations investing in Southern Africa. By 1975 the Church Project merged into the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) and the work on Southern Africa was continued by ICCR.
