Description: Students Against Apartheid was a student group at the University of Utah that campaigned to get the university to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. The Students Against Apartheid Collection (ca. 1980s) consists mainly of news articles regarding apartheid and the Shanty Protest conducted by this group on the University of Utah. Some financial and legal papers are also included. Alan Chandler, donator of this collection, served as the group's president. [Note: The shanty protests occurred in 1986.]
