The International Committee Against Apartheid, Racism and Colonialism in Southern Africa (ICSA) grew out of the World Conference Against Apartheid, Racism and Colonialism in Southern Africa held in Lisbon, Portugal in 1977 as a continuing committee of the conference. The aims of ICSA were to promote internationally the aims and objects, and the policies and perspectives of the liberation movements; strengthen bilateral relations by maintaining and developing the high degree of unity achieved at the World Conference amongst all anti-apartheid, anti-racist and anti-colonialist organizations with the authentic liberation movements of Southern Africa. The organization supported the African National Congress (ANC) of South Africa and SWAPO of Namibia. The organization published a newsletter ICSA Bulletin. (Source:
