Tulane Students Against Apartheid was an organization of students at Tulane University that campaigned to get the university to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. Formed in 1988 the organization was initially called Tulane Alliance Against Apartheid and in 1989 it was renamed Tulane Students Against Apartheid. On May 9, 1988 Archbishop Desmond Tutu cancelled plans to accept an honorary from Tulane University because of the university's refusal to divest from companies in South Africa.
