The Maine Project on Southern Africa (MPOSA) worked to educate the public, holding numerous events and speaking at numerous events including at colleges and high schools. The worked with and brought in speakers from the African National Congress (ANC) and SWAPO. MPOSA campaigned for the boycott of South Africa and for sanctions until the end of apartheid. The supported the successful effort to the state of Maine and Maine colleges and universities to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. MPOSA and Ivan Suzman made movies/videos including on a protest at Citibank and one on the crisis in Southern Africa. MPOSA/Suzman also collected movies/videos made by other organization.
