SASAA campaigned to get the NCSU Trustees to divest the university’s Endowment Fund of stock of companies doing business in South Africa. SASAA circulated a petition calling for divestment. In October 1985 SASAA hosted a state wide, conference, march and rally on South Africa's system of apartheid on NCSU campus sponsored by North Carolinians Against Apartheid.
