Global Exchange is a non-profit an international human rights organization dedicated to promoting social, economic and environmental justice formed in 1988 to help build people-to-people ties between the First and Third Worlds. Global Exchange's education and action programs are organization from its office in San Francisco in coordination with grassroots groups in Third World countries. Global Exchange programs include reality tour, partnership campaigns, a speakers bureau, educational resources and fair trade. In the 1980s and first half of the 1990s Global Exchange had programs supporting the struggle against apartheid in South Africa and support for the Frontline States in Southern Africa.
