The Atlanta Southern Africa Support Committee was an anti-apartheid organization based mainly on six predominantly Black colleges centered around the Atlanta University Center. These six institutions were: Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine Spelman College, Morris Brown College, and the Interdenominational Theological Center. The organization also included important community-based groups such as the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU), the Afro-American Justice League, and the All-African People's Revolutionary Party AARP. The Atlanta Southern Africa Support Committee supported the struggles in South Africa and Namibia. It organized teach-ins during the Weeks of Action from March 21 to April 4, 1982.
