The Namibia International Peace Centre was established by Colin O'Brien Winter, Bishop of Damaraland-in-Exile. Bishop Winter was expelled from Namibia in March 1972. Initially the Namibia International Peace Centre was based in Sutton Courtenay and later moved to London. The Namibia International Peace Centre supported SWAPO and the struggle for the independence of Namibia from South Africa's occupation. Most likely the organization continued until Bishop Winter died in November 1981.
