War Resisters International (WRI) is a global pacifist and antimilitarist network with over 80 affiliated groups in 40 countries. WRI is primarily a network of organizations, groups, and individuals. Key members of WRI have played significant roles in significant aspects of anti-colonial and anti-war moments in Africa. Bill Sutherland, an African American who moved to Africa in 1953, was a representative of WRI for close to 50 years.
