The Coalition of Concerned Black Americans was a volunteer group of academics, lawyers, clergyman, and national and community groups concerned about matters of critical importance to the welfare of Black citizens. The Coalition of Concerned Black Americans was a member of the American Coordinating Committee for Equality in Sport and Society (ACCESS) from 1977 until 1981 or later. Through its membership of ACCESS the Coalition of Concerned Black Americans supported the sports boycott of South Africa and campaigned against sporting links between the United States and South Africa.
