The Free South Africa Coalition was a student anti-apartheid organization at San Francisco State University. The organization was supported by some faculty including Angela Davis. The Free South Africa Coalition campaigned to get San Francisco State University to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. Free South Africa Coalition members had a face off with representatives of Bank of America regarding the bank's loans to South Africa; as a result Bank of America ATMs were removed from the campus.
