The Committee to Support South African Freedom was a mostly student group at the Pullman campus of Washington State University. The Committee to Support South African Freedom was part of a state-wide campaign against Seattle-First National Bank because of the bank’s loans to South Africa. In May 1979 the Committee to Support South Africa Freedom organized a march from the Pullman campus to downtown to withdrawal personal bank accounts from Seattle-First National Bank. (Source:
