The aims of the Africa Network included support for the people of South Africa and Namibia in their liberation struggle and relating the struggles of people in Southern Africa to struggles for justice in the United States. The chairman was Dennis Brutus. The Africa Network had representatives in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Washington, DC.
