Originally founded as the Namibia Concerns Committee of Wartburg Seminary. This Lutheran seminary in Dubuque, Iowa had many resident and visiting Namibians over the years. In 1984, Namibia Concerns was incorporated as National Namibia Concerns (NNC) and moved it headquarters to Denver but continued its presence at Wartburg Seminary. Solveig Kjeseth became the executive director based in Denver, and Ilah Weiblen ran the regional office in Dubuque. NNC continued until shortly after Namibia became independent in 1990.
