The Georgia Power Project was a group opposed to the import of coal from South African coal. The Georgia Power Project campaigned against the Southern Company, a holding company which owned Georgia Power, Alabama Power, Mississippi Power and Gulf Power, which signed a contract to import South African coal in 1974 and 1975.
