Boycott South African Cargo Committee

Duration: About 1975 - Unknown, about late 1970s
Location: San Francisco, California, United States

The Boycott South African Cargo Committee was an anti-apartheid coalition of about 20 Bay Area groups. It campaigned against imports from South Africa and to convince longshoremen not to unload ships with cargo from South Africa. Many members of the Boycott South African Cargo Committee were longshoremen who were members of Local 10 of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU).
