Anti-Apartheid Coalition

The Anti-Apartheid Coalition was a student group at Occidental College (OC). In the school year 1985-1986, the had some 300 members out of a total college population of 1,600. The organization campaigned to get the OC to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. The organization worked to build a cross-state alliance with other anti-apartheid organizations in California; members visited and spoke to the students at the University of California, Berkeley; University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA); and others.
