Bud Day addressing activists from across the U.S. and Canada attending a Working Conference on Southern Africa held October 11-13, 1975 at the University of Wisconsin's Memorial Union in Madison, Wisconsin. The conference was hosted by the Madison Area Committee on Southern Africa (MACSA) and planned by the American Committee on Africa, the Washington Office on Africa, and MACSA. African liberation movements were also represented including the ANC and PAC (South Africa), ZANU and ZAPU (Zimbabwe) PAIGC (Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde) and FRELIMO (Mozambique). There were strategy sessions on divestment, political actions and solidarity work.
