Demonstration held as part of the boycott by the Committee on Southern Africa of Marriott. The demonstration and boycott were part of a campaign to get the State University of New York (SUNY) Binghamton to stop using Marriott as provider of campus dining services. Marriott had operations in South Africa, most notably at South African airports. This image was provided by William Martin. [Note on date: a demonstration was held on October 11, 1985 but the campaign was in its second year in October 1985 and this photograph may be of an earlier demonstration; see "SUNY-B Activists Plan Boycott Today", Pipe Dream, October 11, 1985.]
