Memorandum to Members of CARAC about the campaign to get the Michigan State University Foundation to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. The memorandum says congratulations on the turn-out and the presentations!; Let's hope an orderly intelligent protest will be sufficient. The memorandum says I called Ron Laughter after the Finance Committee of the Foundation met (April 8); he did say our proposal was the main topic of the meeting; the Foundation meets in mid-June. The memorandum says Bill Derman would like to generate more action on the TIAA-CREF divestiture movement.
