Informal minutes of a Coalition Against Racism and Apartheid on Campus meeting discuss the campaign to get the Michigan State University (MSU) Foundation to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. Those present were Lee June, Bill Derman, Sylvia Bagge, Ken Harrow, Barrie Thorne, Nath E. Jelonu, Ernest Moore, Dave McConnell, Dave Dwyer, Daryl Vining, and Bella Mody. The group discussed plans to prepare a letter to the Foundation Board for signatures; it also was suggested that the group ask student groups to endorse a resolution, similar to the McGoff action. The memorandum says the TIAA-CREF petition was distributed and Bill will investigate bringing the issue to the Academic Council. The memorandum also discusses Larry Owen and Lynn Jondahl.
