Memorandum about the campaign to get the Michigan State University (MSU) Foundation to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. The memorandum says the Foundation notify Frank Beeman only at 9:00 a.m. that they would accept a presentation at 4:30 p.m. that day, and the resource persons we had picked to speak to the Board were not available to speak at that time. Therefore, Beeman made a presentation. The memorandum discusses Dr. David Wiley, Director, African Studies Center; Dr. Ruth Hamilton, Rockefeller Foundation; Dr. Forrest Carter, President, Black Faculty and Administrators Association; Brian Ivory, Student Affairs Representative from ASMSU; the Sullivan Principles; the Academic Council; the Academic Environment Committee; American Committee on Africa (ACOA); former MSU President Clifton Wharton; Ron Laughter; and Arthur D. Little.
