Petition to the Board of Trustees of Michigan State University to remove the name of Margaret Ewart McGoff, wife of John McGoff, from the Festival Stage in the Wharton Center. The petition says apartheid is a policy of racial segregation written into the South African Constitution, Mr. and Mrs. John McGoff are listed the official South African Parliament records, Hansard, as having been “official” guests of the South African government, who, as opinion makers, can influence American opinion in favor of the apartheid South African government. The petition says Mr. McGoff was found by the official South African Erasmus Commission to have received $11 million dollars to but American newspapers which would report news favorably toward the apartheid South African government. The petition says MSU divested itself of stocks of companies doing business in South Africa in 1978. The petition includes SUMMARY OF PETITION TO BOARD OF TRUSTEES, MSU.
