U.S. out of Angola; jobs, not war
by U.S. Out of Angola Committee
Chicago, Illinois, United States
About December 1975 or January 1976
Brochure advertising a meeting on February 6 and demonstration on February 7, 1976. The brochure says hundreds of thousands of Americans wait for health, welfare, and unemployment benefits and more and more young people are deprived of educational programs because of funding cutbacks while the U.S. government spends hundreds of millions of dollars on yet another war - this time in Angola. The brochure says invited guests include Elisio de Figueiredo, Ambassador to the UN-People's Republic of Angola; Representatives Ralph Metcalfe and Cardiss Collins; Ben Magubane, a South African Professor of Anthropology; and representatives of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists and El Grupo Latino.
