Biographical information on George M. Houser, Executive Director of the American Committee on Africa. The document says Houser was on the national staff of the Fellowship of Reconciliation and the first director of the Congress of Reconciliation. The document says Houser was the organizer of the first Freedom Ride, the Journey of Reconciliation. Houser has traveled extensively in Africa including for six months in 1954, attending all three All African Peoples Conferences, the founding conference of the Organization of African Unity, the inauguration of Nnamdi Azikiwe in Nigeria, and the independence of Malawi and Zambia.
