This leaflet was apparently handed out at a demonstration at the South African embassy in Washington, D.C. on October 7, 1975 when the South African government brought several Namibian politicians to the United States whom they planned to present as "future leaders." The Philadelphia Namibia Action Group and SWAPO members picketed the embassy and leafleting passersby and the Namibian visitors themselves. The leaflet explains the politics of the “constitutional convention” recently held in Namibia and says not to be fooled by “Uncle Tomfoolery.” [Note on date: The constitutional convention referred to in the leaflet is the Turnhalle Constitutional Conference.]
