The newsletter says the London Economist reports that a group of Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) leaders have completely dissociated themselves from the African National Council-Zimbabwe. The best known leaders of this group, which was formed in the fall of 1975, are Robert Mugabe and Edgar Tekere, both of whom have been based in Mozambique for the past year. The newsletter reports on the formation in Texas of the San Antonio Committee Against Mercenary Recruitment and US Intervention in Foreign Countries.
