A report of the six-year campaign against International Monetary Fund lending to South Africa, including actions at the United Nations, within the IMF, in the U.S. Congress, and among governments in Europe and Canada. The Congressional action, led by the Congressional Black Caucus with the support of the Ad Hoc Monitoring Group on South Africa, was the first anti-apartheid legislation in five years, setting the stage for economic sanctions legislation in 1986.
