The brochure says more than 30,000 South Africans have been forced to leave their country to escape the growing violence and tyranny of the Botha government. Inside South Africa, thousands more have lost their homes and jobs in the aftermath of riots, and others have fled to different communities, in jeopardy because they spoke in opposition to the government. The Bishop Tutu Refugee Fund responds to the needs of the growing number of persons displaced within South Africa and of South African refugees. • The Victims • Goals of the Fund • Refugee Assistance
