with Emmanuel Wallerstein
Binghamton, New York, United States
September 12, 1979
A report by a representative of the SUNY- Binghamton Committee on Southern Africa about a coordinating meeting called the South Africa Catalyst Project. The Association of Concerned Africa Scholars was encouraged to participate in the meeting, but representatives were unable to attend. The 40 representatives of national organizations and campus groups in the Northeast discussed their recent activities and future plans. It was agreed that Zimbabwe needed to be a focus of work, including U.S. policy issues, a material aid campaign, and a speaking tour of a Patriotic Front representative.
