Contents: Agenda • Minutes of Nov. 20th meeting at Mimi Edmunds' house • The document includes the Agenda of the upcoming December 7 meeting at Judy and Marty Hanlon's and the minutes of the November 20th meeting at Mimi Edmunds' house. The minutes say those attending the November 20th meeting were Jim and Lynne Weikart, Rick and Gail Garin, Dick Leonard, Mimi Edmunds, Dorsett Edmunds, Barbara Barns, Marty and Judy Hanlon. The minutes say Evaluation of Gulf Oil Demonstration: some comments were: It would have been good to have called Dorsey ahead of time and demanded time for a response; then we would have had an excuse for interrupting; signs should have facts; follow-up right away; we should have our own photographer; we should have business-like, well- phrased questions; Marty will get a list of future B-school speakers. The minutes say someone from Polaroid is coming to Columbia on Wednesday, Nov. 25; Southern Africa committee is planning something. The minutes say evaluation of meeting with Rebelo and Guebuza; the consensus was that it was really good; Barbara will write a letter to Jorge Rebelo saying how much we enjoyed the meeting and also reminding them to send the picture. The minutes say we agreed to make e poster; Mimi will get a picture from Kahn. The minutes say we received some information on FRELIMO'S needs; Judy is preparing a list of needs and how to go about sending things. The minutes say this month's mailing--there is a letter welcoming the members and a bulletin "News and Notes #1" which was put together by Janet; in the letter we will mention the buttons and posters and that some money will be used towards these; also mention that we got an idea of Frelimo's needs from Monday night's meeting and that we 'll tell them more about this; also, we'll say that Kahn is available for speaking engagements (he costs $100 plus expenses). The minutes say Financial Statement: $530 in balance; $145 owed in pledges; we gave Kahn $50 for November and we gave FRELIMO $100; the mailing cost $160; we loaned $100 to CRV for Luta; starting in December, Kahn will get $75. The mintes says Publicity for FRELIMO--articles and radio show; Dick will call ARG and advise them to send copies of their interview with Rebelo and Guebuza to the Liberated Guardian and to LNS. Dorset will try to get a show on WBAI. The minutes say Peter Shaw will answer Emmanuel Wallerstein's letter; Mimi will contact Peter Shaw. The minutes discuss ARG (Africa Research Group), LNS (Liberation News Service), CRV (Committee of Returned Volunteers), and COREMO.
