Letter to ACAS Board members about December 4th conference call. Tentative agenda: 1. Report on efforts to revitalize ACAS and link ACAS to a larger progressive network. 2. Budget. (Anne Schneller) 3. Organizing a sub-committee to plan the Newsletter. 4. Offer of collaboration with San Francisco Media Project on Southern Africa. 5. ACAS plans for ASA meeting in Washington and suggestions of specific panel subjects. 6. Plans for an ACAS presence at AHSA meeting and outreach effort to AHSA members. 7. Research Committee - how to stimulate background papers? 8. Political Education and Action Committee - Should it serve also as a speakers' bureau? 9. ACAS support for the Dennis Brutus Defense Campaign. 10. ACAS involvement in electoral politics - (support for Wolpe, Dellums, etc.). 11. New business. A copy of the telegram and letter sent to the Dennis Brutus Defense Committee is enclosed; the organizers reported that it was introduced at the immigration hearing and was considered a significant part of his defense.
