Overview of the successes of Stop the Apartheid Rugby Tour (SART) coalition in opposing the visit to the United States of the South African Springboks rugby team. While the tour being over the is no longer a need for SART, the Steering Committee proposes a SART Defense Committee to take up the defense of people arrested and illegally held in Albany.
Used by permission of Africa Action, successor to the American Committee on Africa (ACOA), and Richard Lapchick, founder of the American Coordinating Committee for Equality in Sport and Society (ACCESS). Both ACOA and ACCESS were active in Stop the Apartheid Rugby Tour.
