Mailing introducing TransAfrica's Legislative Watch Bulletin, produced by the Boston Chapter, which will include both bills and other initiatives in the Congress as well as Executive actions. The first issue lists bills that the national TransAfrica office has targeted for support. Future issues will include other measures affecting Africa and the Caribbean included in Authorizations or Appropriations bills or in some Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act or Continuing Resolution. Much of TransAfrica's effectiveness depends on people actually using this information. Suggestions are appreciated about how to make this venture more effective. The goal is for this Bulletin to become THE reference for any group actively interested in supporting progressive development processes of African and Caribbean peoples.
