The International Campaign Against Racism in Sport (ICARIS) is planning a conference on the draft International Convention Against Apartheid in Sport being prepared by the United Nations, probably in mid-March, 1978. The venue will probably be Northwestern University or Nashville, Tennessee. Among organizations which will be invited will be the Supreme Council for Sport in Africa, the South African Council on Sport, SAN-ROC (South African Non-Racial Olympic Committee), ARENA, ACCESS (American Coordinating Committee for Equality in Sport and Society), HART (Halt All Racist Tours), CARE (Citizens Association for Racial Equality), CARE (Campaign Against Racial Exploitation in Australia), SART and ACOA (American Committee on Africa). Representatives will also be invited from the Permanent Missions at the United Nations of countries that are interested in the issue.
