Invitation to the Eleventh Annual TransAfrica Dinner on May 28, 1988 at The Washington Hilton Hotel, with Host Danny Glover and Guest Speaker Her Excellency Dame R. Nita Barrow, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations. TransAfrica, incorporated on July 1, 1977, was formed to inform and organize popular opinion in the United States to advocate both governmental and nongovernmental policies and practices that will help achieve a more progressive U.S. foreign policy toward Africa and the Caribbean, and people of African descent generally throughout the world, consistent with the responsible fulfillment of an enlightened foreign policy.
