The minutes say Bill Corr reported on his inquiry into the city's purchasing policies regarding South African product; the city council has passed Resolution 27733 which calls on Royal Dutch/Shell to withdraw from South Africa but takes no specific action on the city's part. The group expressed that the points of unity, as drafted last year (2/87?) are agreeable, but lack specifics. Mike Miller suggested that speakers at SLCAA-sponsored meetings be approved by the group; Geri D'Anniballe reported considerable success in obtaining refreshment donations; Craig Anderson, Shirley Walker, Miller offered to pick up donations; Jerry Hunnicutt said he could pick up from Central Coop; Bill Clifford agreed to coordinate cleanup and setup with Locals 587 & 46; Glen Goldstein believes there will be a large rally in New York City on June 14. The minutes discuss the Freedom Charter, uncertainty around the COSATU tour, the Old-Time Country Dance, Luther Black (caller), a band, Laurie Andres, the IBEW hall, Bruce Kochis, Linda Anderson, the poster, tickets, Labor Committees in Oregon, NUM (National Union of Mineworkers), UMW (United Mine Workers), and CAST (Coalition Against South African Trade).
