The leaflet says strong sanctions legislation, which the apartheid South African regime fears, has passed the U.S. House of Representatives and is now before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. It asked people to write and/or call Senators who are members of this Committee and urge their full support for S. 2378 with no weakening amendments. The leaflet says the deadline for action is September 7. The leaflet discusses Senator Claiborne Pell, Senator Brock Adams, and Senator Dan Evans.
