The mailing says on October 15, Lincoln University will confer on Amilcar Cabral, Secretary General of the Partido Africano para a Independência da Guiné e Cabo Verde an Honorary Doctorate of Law; this occasion will provide Africans in America a vehicle to honor and show support for the struggle in Guinea-Bissau against Portuguese colonialism. The mailing says this letter is a formal request for your presence and to provide you with more information. If it is possible for you to attend please inform us as soon as possible with a written statement; to develop awareness about the struggle in Guinea-Bissau, we ask that you attend, inform and encourage as wide a section of your community as possible.
