Leaflet issued as part of a campaign against Eastern Michigan University's (EMU) decision to tie its Huron Shores Golf Course with South African golfer Gary Player. The leaflet says Hendrik F. Verwoerd was the prime minister of South Africa who was the principle architect of the apartheid system. • 1978: Gary Player given South African regime's Hendrik F. Verwoerd Award for fighting "the prejudice, misrepresentation and global hypocrisy" of global anti-apartheid opinion.
