Reports on a talk by Comrade Jorge Rebelo, FRELIMO's Secretary for Information, to New York CFM members about FRELIMO's military advances and the progress of national reconstruction in the liberated areas. With help from their allies, the Portuguese have resorted to increasingly brutal tactics of repression, such as the wholesale massacre of villagers and torture of political prisoners, which are only now being exposed in the press. Enclosed with the newsletter is a brochure on "The High Cost of Breaking Sanctions" about the campaign to restore U.S. adherence to the U .N. sanctions against Rhodesia, created by the Washington Office on Africa. Contents: CFM Meets With FRELIMO Information Officer • Comrade Rebelo's Report to CFM on Current Developments in Mozambique • Cabo Delgado: Portuguese Posts Attacked, National Reconstruction • Niassa • Tete: Cabora Bassa • Manica e Sofala • Portuguese Tactics
