Copy of a letter mailed to Bob Maurer and Dee Dee. David Wiley says that on February 27 he and others will found in Princeton the "Central N.J. Committee for Southern Africa." The letter identifies other people who are involved, including Dr. David Fluck, Fred Bogardus, Diana Russell, John Gerhart, Bruce Boston, and Van Dusen. He briefly describes their plans and groups they may work with, including SDS (Students for a Democratic Society). Wiley also discusses his continuing responsibility for covering economics and politics in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) for the “Southern Africa News Bulletin.” [This publication began as “Rhodesia News Summary” and later became “Southern Africa” magazine.] The letter also mentions Harold Hochschild, AMAX (American Metal Climax), Princeton University (PU), U.S. investments in South Africa, Rockefeller Brothers Fellowships, the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, Engelhard, Mary McAnally, Richard Thomas, and Anglo-American.
