This leaflet, a page from the February 1986 issue of the Mine Workers Journal published by the United Mineworks of America, was distributed at a symposium POST-APARTHEID SOUTH AFRICA at the University of Pittsburgh, March 5-7, 1987. The document includes two tables: "South African Coal Sales To Potential U.S Customers" and “South African Steel Exports To The U.S.", and it argues that UMWA members’ jobs are directly threatened by the apartheid slave labor system in South Africa, which depends on supplies from Royal Dutch/Shell (Shell Oil's parent company). The leaflet mentions U.S. banks and A.T. Massey Coal Co.
