The mailing says a coalition is being formed to send Lansing area residents to Washington DC to participate in a March for Peace and Justice in South Africa and Central America on April 25, sponsored by over 100 religious and labor groups. The mailing says rallying points of the march are: (1) Support peace and freedom in Central America and Southern Africa; (2) Stop the U. S. war in Central America; (3) Stop U.S. government and corporate support for apartheid; and (4) Stop U. S. aid to the Contras and stop U. S. aid to the UNITA rebels in Angola. The mailing is an invitation to organizations to join the coalition, to participate in a pre-march rally at the State Capitol at noon on April 24 and a send-off rally at the MSU Auditorium. The mailing says a fundraising concert is being held on April 11.
