Undated, about late July 1987
The mailing says the Call group of the Call to Conscience Action Network on Southern Africa has activated the Network in response to the massacre of 386 people in Homoine, Mozambique by the South Africa backed Mozambique National Resistance (MNR) on July 18, 1987. People are asked to convene press conferences on August 4 condemning the massacre; press conferences are already set for Washington, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Minneapolis, and other cities. The Network is also asked to urge people to communicate with members of Congress by August 15 to condemn the massacre by South Africa back MNR and call for comprehensive sanctions against South Africa, with copies of all letters and telegrams sent to Secretary of State George Schultz.
