Brochure about the American Friends Service Committee’s (AFSC) Southern Africa Program. In southern Africa, the Program supports and listens to those pursuing justice and peace; in the U.S., it illuminates the issues and kindles active interest among Americans. Central to the Program is an AFSC Southern Africa Representative based in Lusaka, Zambia who is in close touch with leaders of liberation movement and others concerned about the futures of Zimbabwe (Rhodesia), Namibia (South West Africa), South Africa, and the countries emerging from Portuguese colonialism. The Representative also shares information about the issues in the U.S. Bill Sutherland was appointed Southern Africa Representative in December 1974.
