by Third World Political Forum
Chicago, Illinois, United States
Undated, Winter 1986
Leaflet apparently distributed outside a meeting of the University of Chicago Trustees. It says more than one-third of the University's endowment is invested in companies doing business in South Africa. During the last three years, students, faculty, and staff of the University and community members have repeatedly addressed the Trustees by letters and public positions explicating the immorality of continued involvement in South Africa, which provides economic support of apartheid. The leaflet says the Third World Political Forum challenges the Trustees to a debate over their position on divestment and calls upon them totally divest. [Note: According to Sahotra Sarkar, this leaflet was passed out during Winter and Spring quarters of 1986.]
