Leaflet asking people to join a peaceful demonstration on April 16, 1977 and pickets on April 15-17, 1977 at Newport Beach Tennis Club opposing South African participation in the Davis Cup. The leaflet asks people to join in demanding the U.S. government and the Lawn Tennis Association call for a halt to the Davis Cup. The leaflet says the Organization of African Unity (OAU) and many other nations have called for a world-wide boycott of all South African events. • Apartheid and racism in sports are a denial of human dignity • Why are South African sports segregated? • Why is the U.S. welcoming a team from South Africa? • Why demonstrate against a tennis match?
